Every year it is part of the cultural tradition here to have a Harvest Festival. Every makes special food to sell, and maybe they donate clothes or get prizes to auction off. It is a fun kind of fund-raiser, community party for the church.

Recently I had my Dad’s old black bible in my hands, I had in herited it when my brother died, and in back there was , in my dad’s familiar handwriting, a list of kings, this one served God, this one didn’t,
My Dad was a Bible reader, and he commented on things he was reading about, to whoever was around. mb
